Collector field guide
Writing a useful Hunt

Make the details count.

A good Hunt describes one collectible clearly enough to distinguish it from nearby listings. Start with the item, add the details that define it, and set a price ceiling you are comfortable with.

A focused Hunt

One collectible. The details that matter.

Player or signer
Year and set
Maximum price
Grade and condition

Build a useful brief

Start narrow. Add useful signals.

These details shape the Hunt criteria. Keywords and condition notes can preserve seller language, while the core fields keep the target specific.

01

Choose one specific target

Give each Hunt one card or signed item to look for. A focused brief is easier to refine than a list of unrelated collectibles.

02

Add the identifiers that separate it

Include the player or signer, sport, year, and set. For an autograph Hunt, name the item type and signature wording that matter.

03

Set a clear price and grade boundary

Choose a maximum price you would consider. Add a grade and condition notes to describe the copy you want; condition is retained as seller-detail context.

Marketplace coverage

Know where a Hunt can look.

Dibsie’s current connector is for eBay Browse listings and requires configured, authorized application access. Other marketplaces do not currently have listing coverage.
